It’s that time of year again! There is no denying this year’s Black Friday and Cyber Monday will be bigger than ever before. With more and more shoppers turning to online shopping for the best deals and discounts on products (those late to the party types), you can expect to be bombarded with emails, notifications and ads from countless retailers fighting for your precious attention. But fear not! Us girls have had the upper hand when it comes to online shopping for some time, and yours truly (your dearest friends at Vavavoom), have put together a list of top tips to help you make the most of your 2020 Black Friday/Cyber Monday shopping.
Not to sound too much like your secondary school math’s teacher but preparation is key! – And defo a vital aspect of shopping to get the best deal. Know your budget and stick to it (unless, y’know, it’s the one of course), set a spending limit, and do your research beforehand. Decide what products you want and choose carefully who you would prefer to give your business to. Consider keeping it to companies based within your own country, that way, you have peace of mind when it comes to delivery and payment – no issues with customs or currency, all whilst supporting the national economy – ( equalling less shopping guilt)!
2. Sign up & be in the know:
Most retailers will provide special offers to existing customers prior to the Black Friday madness. So, get ahead of the game and sign up to newsletters and follow their social media accounts (remember to save their posts so they appear on your feed), and you won’t miss a trick. You can also sign up to our newsletter at the bottom of our homepage here >> https://vavavoom.ie/
Bookmark the web pages you have your eye on. This is always a good idea to avoid the horror of seeing the dreaded “sold out” when your favourite items become unavailable. 2020’s current climate means that Black Friday queues are a distant memory, so take advantage of the bliss that is shopping from your own bed and bookmark those tabs on your phone, tablet, or laptop to beat the virtual queues!
So, you’ve got your favourite sites picked out, now it’s time to evaluate them. Be wary of websites that regularly boast substantial discounts and special offers all year round – ask yourself if you will genuinely be getting the best possible deals with them. Another key aspect of evaluating potential sites is to do your research and ensure the site is legit and trustworthy. Sketchy sites are like dodgy sales vans at the back of the car park – a big no no! So, if in doubt – click X and get out! This can easily be avoided by sticking with ones you’ve used before and already know and love.
5. Remember to enjoy it!:
Make the most of the excitement and don’t stress. Make a day of it! Get the comfy loungewear on, pour yourself an (extra large) glass of prosecco, stick Netflix (Friends) on in the background, and enjoy being able to shop like an absolute queen from your own sofa. The worst thing about Black Friday weekend is the queues (and the bloodthirsty bargain hunters), so take advantage of the beauty that is online retail and your own company, and get stuck into treating yourself to the best bargains of the year!
